I am a Designated Pilot Examiner serving the South Carolina Flight Standards District Office. I was designated in 2002 and am authorized to administer sport, private, instrument, commercial, flight instructor add-on, renewal and reinstatement flight tests. I am also authorized to test in the Diamond DA-42 Twinstar, Beechcraft BE-95 Travelair, Beechcraft BE-55 Baron, Beechcraft Duchess, Piper Aztec, Piper Seneca, and the Piper Seminole.
I started flying in 1981. I hold Commercial Single and Multi Engine Airplane, Instrument, CFI, CFII, MEI, and Rotorcraft Helicopter. I have been the manager of the Elbert County Airport in Elberton Georgia since 1987.
It is my goal to provide a fair and reasonable flight test conducted in accordance with the applicable FAA PTS/ACS. My flight tests contain no surprises, just a fair evaluation of your abilities conducted in a relaxed atmosphere.
I am not only available on test day, but before and after the test to answer questions and offer advice and guidance.
If you are a student or an instructor, and you are planning a flight test in the future, I hope you will give me a call.
